Maple Sausage

  • 1 lb Maple Sausage Patties
  • 2 1/2 cups cabbage, coarsely chopped
  • 2 apples, peeled & cut in small pieces
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1/2 cup onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • salt and pepper

Brown the sausage in a large skillet, breaking up a bit. Add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the cabbage, carrots and water. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add the apples and cook 3 minutes more. Cook uncovered on high until the water is almost gone. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the sausage and serve.
